BI dashboards in Qlik Sense

Dashboards that business teams work with every day: a KPI cockpit for e-commerce and sales, a dashboard for influencer campaigns and one for the IT service desk. From the first requirement via the data model to the documentation – all numbers in the pictures here are invented.

  • Qlik Sense
  • SQL
  • Data modeling
  • Salesforce

Approach

  1. Clarify requirements with the business team: which questions should the dashboard answer, which KPIs and comparisons are needed?
  2. Build the data model: SQL views from the data warehouse, joined with Salesforce or Jira data
  3. Design the sheets: filters, KPIs, charts and tables – so the answer is found quickly
  4. Sign-off with the users, documentation and daily refresh

KPI cockpit

  • KPI board: gross and net revenue, margin, units sold, conversion rate, basket value – each with the difference to the previous year and to plan
  • Online performance: revenue, traffic, new and returning customers, newsletter
  • Sales monitor: development over the months with a selectable KPI

Influencer dashboard

  • For the social media team: how do campaigns and influencers compare?
  • Campaign performance, influencer performance, content with dates, voucher redemptions
  • Revenue per day and month, products per campaign – linked via media code or product number

Service desk dashboard

  • Based on the Jira data in the data warehouse
  • Are the agreed response times (SLA) met?
  • Incidents and service requests separately, by priority and department

My part

  • Design and development in Qlik Sense
